Virat Kohli can break Sachin Tendulkar's record of 100 centuries , says Yuvraj Singh
Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has praised Virat Kohli for his phenomenal batting and leadership skills and said that he believes Kohli can surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 international centuries.
Yuvraj, who shared a close bond with Kohli since their playing days, wrote a heartfelt letter to the Indian captain on his 35th birthday and gifted him a special edition of PUMA’s golden boots. Yuvraj recalled how Kohli was destined for greatness since his early days and how he has inspired millions of young cricketers with his discipline and passion.
Yuvraj Singh said "I have never seen a better combination in the Indian team. You have 5 batters, 8-10 match winners in a single team. Australian team used to have this kind of prowess when they were dominating world cricket in 2003-2007,"
Yuvraj also congratulated Kohli for equalling Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI centuries in the World Cup 2023 match against South Africa at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Yuvraj said that Kohli has elevated his level of cricket every year and achieved so much already in the game. He added that Kohli has been a legendary captain and a fantastic leader and urged him to keep the fire inside him burning. Yuvraj said that Kohli is a superstar and he is proud to have shared this incredible journey with him. Yuvraj also expressed his hope that Kohli will lead India to their third World Cup title this year.
